Well it's summer. Almost every weekend we are at the cottage from now till October. Is there anyone willing to do a meet around that area? Grand Bend even?

I can meet in Grand Bend. I am in London over the weekends. Sarnia is around 4 hours driving normally under the impound speeds :-)

I used to have a condo on the beach there in grand bend... You know the big white one seen it all from a birds evey view... lucky we sold that place its getting runned down... people buy a few hundred thousand dollar place and let it get runned down... average unit there is about 400,000 dollars and the people are rude obnoctous pigs... They just spent millions to revamp the strip we left just as they where getting started finishing it up last year... it but its still the old shit buildings on the strip. Its ok party place but not the best place for a real estate investment... we had 2 of the units in there smaller one and a big one on the front.

Guy who had the unit beside us owns grand bend drag strip :)

I should see if I still have the picture of a benz car towing a boat :)

Its about a 2 hour drive from Toronto to Grand Bend

I've been to Grend Bend many times, and in my opinion the whole city is way too over rated. Besides the small downtown strip around the bay, there is really nothing. The water quality is of Lake Ontario, I personally wouldn't swim in it. :-) The parking is pretty expensive for a small town. I find Goderich a bit more attractive than Grend Bend, and the drive along the beach is fairly long and nicer than driving through a parking lot at Grend Bend.
I've seen a lot of retired people living in that area and few high school girls. I agree with you though that there are many run down places.
The distance from Toronto to Grand Bend is 3.5 hours (approx. 271 km). You can make it in 2 hours too, if you don't value your driver's license and your car. :-)

Our cottage is about 20 min south of Grand Bend..and we avoid GB in the summer on weekends. We boat over there once in a while..but mainly stick to our area or go to Sarnia which is another 20 min drive. Sometimes we go down along the St Clair river, which is really pretty. And I often go cross boarder. I did yesterday and the Immigration girl yesterday was way more interested in my car than what I was going to be doing in the states..it was funny :)

Lucky you. I was in states last week, and the customs officer was very anal and even searched my car. When he found out that I had a camera and video camera he started to be so inquisite why I need so much photo equipment in US. Ya and he asked me what's wrong with GM cars, that I had to drive a Benz. I guess that girl who stopped you had a day off. :-)

The best was watching drunk people come back at 2 am to find there cars have been towed... Priceless.

Not lying but two guys came back so drunk one put his arms like a circle and told his buddy to jump thru the hula hoop and his buddy made it thru and did a faceplant in the gravel parking lot. :)
